A family run business set in the Limousin region of France with breathtaking views and a traditional way of life. Located in the central south western area of France, the Correze (department 19) is one of the last bastions of real, rural French living. Mountains, rolling fields and lakes form the backdrop to Correzian life.Situated 70km south of Limoges international airport sits Arnac- Pompadour, famous for its Chateau owned by Louis XV’s favourite Mme Lenormant d’Etoilles (Madame Pompadour). Madame Pompadour’s Chateau forms an imposing site at the centre of this pretty town and also forms part of the Richard the Lion heart route. Arnac- Pompadour is also home to the National Stud (Haras National) and all horses in France are registered here. It is also nationally famous for its horse racing, jump events and three day eventing and less than 100 metres from the racecourse (le hippodrome) sits 7 Avenue Du Midi. Our guest house offers a friendly welcome to all and we aim to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We also have a restaurant which seats up to 26 guests and offers a tempting menu for all.

The bedrooms are decorated to a very high standard and all offer ensuite facilities. Relax in our guest lounge and while away the hours or enjoy a pre race drink before spending an afternoon at the races. Race meetings are held every Sunday throughout the season.The Chateau overlooks the race course and again is less than 100 metres from the house. Pompadour is a typically French town, very relaxed and welcoming and only a short drive to many picturesque places. The region is surrounded by beautiful walks and drives. Visit Segur-le-chateau, a beautiful mediaeval town (voted one of France’ prettiest villages), also Uzerche, well known for its beautiful backdrops which attracts many artists to the region from all over the world, Brive, Vigeois lake and beach, the Gorge de la Vézere and many more.
